Begonia grandis subsp. evansiana

Begonia grandis subsp. evansiana (Begonia grandis subsp. evansiana)

A hardy Begonia (in a sheltered warm area) very late into growth with small pink flowers. The undersides of the leaves are red. As it likes my garden and spreads easily it is now contained in a tub with a rampant Rose.
I like this so much I am growing Alba from seed.

Dd, That's good to know. Perhaps you can tell me if the undersides of the leaves remain green, that is don't go red like the pink plant.

They go red......

Thanks for answering that query, Dd, but I am meaning the white flowered variety. I'm would be pleased if the "Whites" leaves will have a red underside, that is half the interest.
