Deep pink climbing rose.

My one and only rose in the garden. It’s fragrance is quite lovely..and it’s abundantly producing flowers. The bees are quite attached!

That's a great colour, Kate. I can see why the bees would be attached, it's very open. Looks very much like the old rosa mundi, but that's not a climber and it only flowers once. Do you know its name?

Such a deep rich color. I think the bees would have a feast with this one.

Thanks Anget, to be honest, I cannot find the label - I bought it quite a few years ago. It seems to be climbing quite a bit, but, the fence is quite small at the top of the rockery which delineates between this and the bund hill. It tends to flop over/hang. Although it doesn’t seem to bothered by this. I’ve pinned some of the stems back. It flowers quite abundantly every year, for quite some months. I actually pruned it quite hard last autumn.
I do wish I knew the name..
Thank you Paul, I do love when the flowers age a little, they tend to look their best. Plus the bees have better access too!
