Gosh that's great. Obviously breeding counts for a lot, but how is bud count influenced by your warm climate and feeding?

A difficult question. Bud count is part of the information available on the ADS site, but what a hybridizer registers can be different than what you will get in your garden. In fact, foliage habits can be different as well as season of bloom and even color. My area tends to have a lower number of buds that what are registered by well known people in Florida. The warmer weather means I have few dormant types because they die in a couple of years. Then there are examples like Double River Wye. I got that from Kathy in the UK, and it is a dormant type there. But here it is evergreen.

WOW! So many flowers on a single stem! :o

So it kind of cheated by having several stems grow close and produce flowers at the same time. But it does make a stunning sight.
