Rose this morning

The burgundy climber is blooming nicely after being cut right back last autumn.

That's a gorgeous colour. Very subtle. Is it Dr Jamain?

No, I don't think so Anget. It was bought a lot of years ago when I first moved here in the 90's as Danse de Feu which it certainly isn't. It is a climber, about eight feet at the moment. I even asked David Austin Roses at Hampton Court Flower Show. They suggested their Munstead Wood which was bred 2007 so impossible, and height and spread 3.5ft x 3.5ft. Mine would be about 9ft across at the moment and as I said, about 8ft high.

Thanks all and it smells amazing too, unlike a lot of the modern bred roses.
