I admired the stripy leaves , it wasn't in flower, when I saw it in a HPS members garden, and we did a swap of alpines.

Hywel, just looked up L. socialis, seems to be grown as a houseplant too tender for outside, which is a pity. I'm growing my cooperi in a pot sunk into the alpine area of the garden with a sheet of glass over it in winter, to keep off winter wet. It's companions are Delospermum, Rhodohypoxis and Sempervivums etc.

I grow it in a shelter. It can take temperatures down to about 0 C so I keep it in a shelter.
You have some lovely companions for your Ledebouria.
