I shall look out for them I like the maroons and reds .

I have bought Mosses fire and Black Arrowhead still in pots lol if you want seeds of either your welcome to some the Mosses Fire is just coming into bud but no signs yet of Black Arrowhead forming a bud.

Mosses fire is a double "red self with gold edge and green throat" nice

Black Arrowhead is a spider form light "mauve purple with dark purple eye above green throat" Also its classed as a nocturnal daylily flowers open late in the afternoon and stay open throughout the evening until the morning.

Where did you get them from ? if I may be nosy

Thats right I agree

I think myself she has to much on her plate she said she has enough to fo as it is its only her and her son that grows them all her garden its huge she has lots and I mean lots of massive green houses full her garden is huge my grand dad had the same size garden on the same road I am 62 and she is a lot older than me so I think all their time is taken doing the plants and has nt the time for internet selling which is a shame.

Occasionally I sell daylily on ebay , it is a faf sometimes, finding a box that fits the plants , selotape , queue up at the post office , digging up the plants separating, washing the soil off the roots , plant label, then waiting for payment some dont rush and I hate sending plants out after Wednesday....

its ok if they go for a mint though lol

Your day lilies are beautiful GG. You could set up a 'shop' on Ebay, then you'd earn your mint!

As I see...if you sent your babies to new homes, then you'd have money to buy even more new ones...

I don't sell because I don't want the Portuguese government deciding I need to pay 75% of the value in taxes...before costs. You can always specify that shipping is on Mondays only. I have bought from a lady in Greece who does that.

Oh my goodness Wylye, I'd no idea you had to pay so much taxes! No wonder you're careful. I hope you're safe by the way, and not near the awful fires raging in Portugal.

I am far to the west, about 800 miles to the west, in the Azores. I walked up to my woods this afternoon, and as I was going back home I saw someone burning vegetative waste on another hill. Lots of smoke right next to another wooded area.
To get money, Portugal has been collecting projected taxes on businesses for next year!

What an idiot! I love Portugal. My husband and I often holiday there at least once a year. I'd live there if I could. ☺
