Red Volunteer x Twisted Mint Julep

Red Volunteer x Twisted Mint Julep

This is an attempt to cross old and new. Red Volunteer was registered in 1984 and has had 84 offspring also registered. I combined it with the much newer Twisted Mint Julep (2006) and got this 7.5" cascading type with quilled sepals.

You can see on the edges of the petals that it also has a velvet texture that goes towards black.
