Yes, colourful. One of the few areas you have not altered.

Except we have given the grass border more room, have taken over a foot off the rose border, on the left and Peter has moved the path over, it looks so much better.....really pleased with it Siris...

That looks really gorgeous! I've just been extolling the grasses on my blog! :) This is a great example of how to use them together. Mine are all scattered.

These are mixed with Cornus, about five varieties to get the coloured stems later on, seems to work well!! going to read your blog!

I think I asked you before, but have forgotten. How do you stop the bamboo from spreading? I keep my mints in buckets, sunk into the ground, but they can go over the barrier if not kept kept an eye on.

What an interesting mix of height, colours and textures I really like it dd and your pathway too - I can imagine the children walking past with buckets and spades to the beach... ;o)

Siris we are going to put in a bamboo barrier, it has been very slow to spread, thank goodness, have dug around it. already, the yellow ones have a tendency to pop up next door!!, and the one at the back of the garden has a very free rein!!
Petal being as we live close to the sea, it suits the garden...... pleased you like it...

The black stemmed bamboo is really nice and still seems a similar size to when I saw it originally a year ago.

How lovely. Do you strip the black bamboo leaves? My black bamboo stems seem a bit spindly and not very black. Lol

Dawn we do strip it,I noticed the other day that it had actually changed colour, from a dark brown to black!!
Siris, I cut out about 20 spindly canes this year, it was getting far too dense, I wanted to be able to see through it.....
Gnarly were they funny abut it? every time one pops up in our neighbours
gravel we nip round pull it up and cut it off , luckily it is on the edge of their large driveway, phew!!
Thanks Hb, it will look better later on when the Cornus stems take over, which are on the other side of this border....
