Un-named Red Clematis on the pergola. Now named..

My daughter bought this one for me several years ago and the label just said "Red Clematis". Karen suggested 'Rebecca' and comparing it to photos it's a match.

It might be 'Rouge Cardinal' or it could be 'Rebecca' which is very red and was being sold en masse a few years ago when it was new. In this photo it looks like the Cardinal.

Brilliant! :) Rebecca is gorgeous. I don't have it because it is a group 2 I think and I do try to avoid them because they tend to get wilt here. Mind you...as the years have passed I have begun to suspect the main culprit for my wilting is slugs chewing the stems off at the ground. HOw I hate those slimy b*****s!
