The presents from the birds are the best Simbad. I've had a few myself over the years but I have to say yours is a beauty.

Thanks everyone :-)
I've never grown this so was fascinated when the stem grew taller and taller wondering what it would be,thought an allium of some sort , I'll certainly be letting it set seed:-)
Hahahaha Siris

Well well well, lucky you, I have half a dozen. They're a bulb aren't they, no idea how that arrived for you, how lucky.

It's a mystery Dawn, I haven't noticed it other years and it must have been growing there a few years before getting to flowering size, the leaves are quite big and its quite near to the path , not complaining though :-)

They also bulk up easily, then the leaves flop everywhere.

They seed so easily, Simbad, do you think it came as a seed in a pot of something else, then germinated in the wood were you planted the pot?

I didnt realise they seeded easily Siris, that's it then Kathy. Maybe mine will start to spread too.

Better still Dawn, collect the seed, sow in a pot then when a little bigger plant in the wood.

I thought they might Siris:-) I've grown some Christophii from my own plant this year and have lots of little seedlings, can't see anything I've planted nearby that it could have hitched a ride in only thing near is a black grass which was split from another area of the garden a few years ago.
Thanks Homebird:-)
Ooooo Siris I have another mystery plant that's popped up in the Crinum pot , its turning into a lovely pot of surprises ;-), picture later .

Seen it, and commented.

I will collect the seed then Siris, I'm so stupid, I think of bulbs as just bulbs without remembering they produce seed.
