Cirsium rivulare 'Atropurpureum' - 2016 (Cirsium rivulare 'Atropurpureum')

Non-invasive thistle, growing to four feet on poor soil in sun. A few years ago, this was on every garden at the Chelsea Flower Show, and a white form has just been released.
Initially I liked this plant, but having grown it for ten years I have now become less keen - the foliage is course and its not a good 'mixer'
