Clematis heraclefolia (Clematis heracleifolia)

This is an herbaceous clematis - that is, it doesn't climb. It forms a clump of woody-based stems around three feet high and across with these small, pale blue flowers in summer. There are forms with darker blue flowers; the leaves are a corresponding darker green on them too
