Our native stinking gladwyn. Will grow on bone dry soil in shade but can be a bit free with its seedlings when suited.

Noticed ours is flowering also, in shade but not bone dry by any means.....

DD - I put a seedling in a spot that is so dry, even an aucuba turned up its toes. The seedling is growing like mad.

Ours is growing near one of our tree ferns, which is watered every day!!....so a very versatile plant!!
