Iris - Two tone blue (Iris germanica (Orris))

A tall bearded Iris, given to me by a neighbour, about 6 years ago, who can't remember the name. Two tones of blue.

Nicer than the Dream Indigo, I think.

Gorgeous. Is it flowering now? Not even my dwarf ones have flowered yet and they are usually May flowering...there's time yet though and there are buds.

Ckaren, You will have the pleasure of them opening soon. All the Iris were photographed on the day of opening this year 2015, in the front garden. The ones in the back, not so sunny are still in bud. I wanted to keep them in chronological order of opening for my record.

I hope so Siris. One of my Iris didn't flower at all last year, so I am really looking forward to it, but it's only just started growing. Nowhere near the bud stage.

Only one didn't flower last year!!! I have Iris 'Lullaby of Spring' which has flowered once in the mmm - 10 years I have had it. Keep giving it one more chance!

Will be nice, as near black as you can get. Don't knock the flower head off! I am always doing that!

Yes Kathy! The clue might be in the name...once in a hundred years! You'd better keep it! ;)
