Thanks Bathgate and Gee. I loved the photo when Feverfew put it on the site. I've started painting again, this one's a watercolour, and any donations I get goes to charity, haven't decided which one yet. My children's poetry booklet for the Colin Bloomfield Appeal for Melanoma where they visit the local primary schools and tell the children how to be safe in the sun has raised £100 and I've sent that off and I have just sold two of my drawings and a couple more books so they'll be getting another £25.

Glad you like it Klahanie. I didn't draw it with a pencil first I just let the brushes do the work.

Lovely picture idea Lindak. I need an inspiration again since I did my Magnolia from life. Animal pictures have to be copied but it is very satisfying to do them. I did a charcoal sketch of KatKat years ago, but nothing of cats since. I have been looking at tree frog pictures as they are so colourful.

Hi Dorjac, Your painting of the Magnolia was lovely. and delicate. Have you had a look on the Web for images of frogs? In my pictures I usually add something different and in this one it was the leaves on the plant, I've painted the kittens slightly darker, and I made the pot dirtier with moss on. I have been trying to paint directly on to the paper rather than draw the picture, as I'm trying to get some energy into the painting. Sometimes I take several animals from different photos and make a picture up.

Thanks Homebird. I still have a few setbacks with the new elbow but on the whole it's doing well. It's nice to be able to get back to painting and being creative again.

At first I thought there were two kittens and then I realised there are three. It is such an original and amusing picture. We had a cat who used to sleep in our small greenhouse in a seed tray. But he was black, so not much of a picture! I did have a photo but it has disappeared.

Cat's seem to find anywhere to sleep don't they Dorjac, as long as it is warm, If the heating is off our Dusty will seek out a warm lap or if we get up, she is around our backs and straight on to the place where we had been sitting.
