Thank you Bathgate for your comment. This house is on the mountain and right now the jacarandas below us in the landscape look like little blue puffs of clouds. We will miss it next winter as the owner of this house wants to rent it full time. Our next house is right on the lake so we will see how we will like that.

I have just sourced some Jacaranda seeds and discovered (from Youtube) that they should be soaked for several hours before planting - who knew?! It would make a wonderful bonsai . . .
