Now this isn't something I'd have expected at all from this cross, definitely a keeper, 6inches across but some of the other buds do look much bigger.

That is a nice eye. You know the pod parent to Wind Frills was Brazosport, who had Twenty Third Psalm as pod parent and that has a strong pink halo. So it could have come from there. :))
