Dd2 is this in a pot or the ground?

My Olive is the same DD. Even though trapped in a small pot. Smothered in flowers. the bees like them.

Alan it is in the ground it is roughly 6ft tall now, and 15 years old..........Dorjac could you not put it in the ground?

I have an olive tree in a pot. Had little black olives but just smaller than the size of a pea. Now showing flower buds again. I put it under the car port in the winter. Gave it a light prune in the springtime. Now shooting well. Have taken a couple of cuttings just to see if they will grow. Nothing ventured nothing gained eh.......

No room to put it in the ground DD( a gift about ten years ago). Garden 40 feet by 50 and 12 by 40 of that is patio plus some other paths. We have 10 apple trees, a huge hawthorn, a shorn laburnum and a shorn Hazel. 6 mature camellias. A huge Mahonia, a Laurel trying to get larger. Oh, and a Rowan. A shed trellis of blackberries and a 30 foot grapevine and two Jostaberry trees that would like to be large. Besides I like Bonsai too...

Oh my goodness I though we were mad with all the trees we grew in our garden, but you take the biscuit. So pleased we are not by ourselves lol.

Because we have trees DD we get nature in the raw! foxes under the shed and border wrecking cubs in June 4 or five times over the years. Squirrels after hazel nuts. Sparrow Hawks after sparrows. Magpies after baby blackbirds and beheading them on the lawn. We used to have a tribe of hedgehogs that came out at party time and bumbled round guest's feet, alas no more. Bee flies hover in April, in our garden, and dragonflies zoom in season, and the occasasional bat or two. No trees and these things would not come to pass.

Yes you are right, we have, managed, touch wood, to deter the badger, but the fox was back the other night I could smell it!!
Sparrow hawks sometimes swoop and kill, not often though! never had a hedgehog unfortunately....
Lots of bees and dragonflies and sometimes 3 frogs, if we are lucky.
And yes sometimes a bat.....and lots of bugs.....
