They are usually quite resilient Fran, but I find they 'get in the way'. The corporate gardeners just chuck em out and start on the next lot of bedders.

Maybe these are variants of the native wild plant, which would have to be tough (I thought p;rimoses wree always yellow, which is why I didn't know what these were until GoYers told me).

Councils tend to be a bit ruthless, but if they're doing mass plantings they can't hang about waiting for one plant to catch up with the others! A school where I used to live used to get stacks of "old" plants from the council, which could last for months, if not as neat as needed for public spaces.

If bedding plants are used for one season and then chcuked, how would they reproduce naturally? or has that been bred out of them, they're there for show and nothing else?
