Nasturtium

Both the flowers and the leaves of this plant are edible. I'm told that the flowers aren't particularly tasty, but the leaves have a fragrance similar to wasabi, the root ground and eaten with sushi.

Hi Lyndsay! Wasabi is made from a different plant but the leaves of this nasturtium smell similar to wasabi. Real wasabi, or Japanese horseradish, is a member of the cabbage family.

Hi Peter. Real Wasabi is surprisingly, actually a member of the Mallow family (Malvaceae).
Hope you don't mind the correction.

Peter, I'm not even going to edit my last post as I will stand by my foolishness!!!!
You are quite correct, Wasabi is a member of the Cabbage family/Bassicaceae. I have just checked it up. I had always been led to believe that is was a member of the Malvaceae but after checking up........oh dear!
I shall go and stand in a corner........:-(
