Amaryllis Help Needed

Wasn't paying attention and my Amaryllis has what i think gone to seed.Have i lost it ? or can i take the seed and plant it? does any one know.

I think that I had some success with planting the ripened seed , Mushy . Let it dry and give it a go , I have a feeling that there were four in the seed pod . Nothing to loose .
