Well, it was in fact cathedral to my opinion. I like cathedrals, I saw many in Europe, but the most beautiful is in Monreale (Sicily) and the most frightening in Kutna Hora (Czech republic).

Beautiful building Katarina, we visited Soller before my OH became too ill ...we sat in the square eating almond cake and drinking coffee ....dreaming of buying a home there. Soon changed our minds when we saw the house prices:-)

Cromer isn't far from where I live Kat they have the best Crabs in the world , A friend of ours puts a firework display on each new years eve from the pier on this beach thousands of people come to watch it's spectacular ....

Why do they do that? Isn´t it an old custom to call spirits of those who died on the sea?
I have never eaten crabs, Amy, as I do not know how to peel it and secondly, I saw once a documentary on TV how they were drastically killed. Can´t do that. I love calamari :)))

I hadn't heard of that custom of calling the dead from the sea Kat , here it is a fun thing, a show to celebrate the new year .. crab is very nice I love a crab sandwich , here they are put into a pan of water which is gradually brought to the boil it sends them to sleep before they know what's happening , at least that is how we would do it when we have caught them I'm not sure how they would do it on a larger scale for sale to the public .. I think Calamari is like rings of rubber bands LOL ..........
