Evening primroses - Ozark sundrops

I'm beginning to find clumps of these elsewhere in the garden - I guess the seeds have spread. But we have room, and they are so bright and cheerful.

Hi Elke, I wonder if these are like our Evening Primrose (Oenothera Biennis) - heavily scented in the evening?
They smell fantastic.

I'll have to have a sniff, then, Muddywalter. But I think it's Oenothera macrocarpa/O. missouriensi. The web site I looked at says: "Unlike its cousin O. biennis, the Evening Primrose, O. macrocarpa stays in bloom all day. It can become invasive, so pick a good spot for it." And it has become invasive. However, I don't mind, and it's easy to pull.
