No, it's similar, but not the same. Sorry, R's mum.

Lovely Iris, though! :-))

Never mind, thanks anyway! Maybe I will find the name one day..

I actually found a photograph of this on the web, in a sort of diary of plants someone's got, including hundreds of irises - but irritatingly, the person hasn't posted the names of any of them, other than to call this one peach and maroon bearded iris! Exasperating...

Perhaps , like me, they either lost the label, or didnt have the name :)

Might be a Barbatus Rachelsmum (not a Spritz lol!) and Ihavent a clue what the diff is between Germanica and Barbatus. I have Crinoline, Blazing Sunrise, Tulip Festival and Lilac Rose..all barbatus, but they look the same as my tall bearded. Im sure there is a difference but not enough for me to worry about it lol!

Thanks TT - today I swept out the greenhouse and guess what - I found the label! And what does it say? Iris Germanica , nothing else.:)

I am saving the seed - wish me luck!

Oh how annoying..stilll no variety!!! I will keep an eye out for it, have a few books that I can browse on Saturday while I sit and wait for customers to appear!

It could be Princess Sabra..I bought this from Kelways and waited for it to bloom for over 3 years. Eventually what I thought was going to be dark red/purple falls and pink standards, was a beautiful clear mid purple. So unless its one of the others that didnt flower but may next year, I dont appear to have it.
I checked with Kelways. They no longer have it but described it for me as above. There are white irises on google called Princess Sabra but whether this correct I dont know. There doesnt appear to be a picture of it on the net, in the colour way given me

Thanks for all your help, TT! Still no sign of flower on the other two which I planted nearby. Maybe I will have to wait until next year for them.
