buried it growth end down to defeat apical dominance...that way it won't take root or sprout...cottonwoods are really weedy. building a bird house for the top of the post.

Oh my birds are loosing patience with me, Mikec...
What a slog it was to walk it across to the honeysuckle...it is extremely heavy and it's just inertia that keeps it standing there...will anchor it with some extremely long dock spikes. Weather has changed and it's very hot...so it won't be 'til it gets seasonable again. Is it getting hot up your way yet, Greenthumb?

70's at least, starting to be. This summer has been a long time coming. 2 days now of shutting the blinds to keep the house cool. I was thinking I wouldn't get a summer!
