in need of a new home outside... we cant agree where to plant them! I want them everywhere Tom wants them out of sight in the pig pen!

i just fancied growing some... we have millions of little birdies that sing to me whilst im gardening so I thought they would like some seeds (self service)!

You are a treat, Ickle... the sunflowers I grow are self seeded (well, some are...and some are from overflow at the winter feeder.) Have little chickadees who do crazy aerobatics and hang upside down pecking away, seeds flying!

They are not the most delicate of flowers to be sure, they are really nice with a climber to scale their sometimes less than lovely stems. they will tower over everything. It is interesting to watch a field of sunflowers, their faces follow the sun. Are they a cash crop or just for fodder?
