Southend Sea Front

Make over going on to our Sea Front earlier this year. I took the photo from the New Peir Top, the bridge over the road has been made higher because of the high lorrys & buses getting stuck under the old one, Ha! They didn't read the signs (LOW BRIDGE AHEAD) and they passed their test LOL

Southend council put in a lot of effort to keep the seafront looking good. Just wish they hadn't stolen part of the road for a cycle track at the Westcliffe end. The pavilion theatre is a fabulous building in a wonderful position, with marvellous views across the Thames estuary. I have been a lifelong cyclist, and still cycle in my seventies, but that move stopped us going to our favourite eating place for the summer months.

Yes! It does get busy in the summer, the blue building is the Sea Life Centre, familys seem to enjoy coming here but you need the good weather. :o))))
