Snail Pot & Busy Lizzie

Decided to plant Busy Lizzie this year in the old Snail Pot, I think it was a good choice. I would love to grow something that is hardy but because there is no drainage in the bottom of the pot nothing has survived, I have packed a load of small stones in the bottom and back of the shell which has helped. Does anyone have any ideas what might grow in the Snail Pot more Permanently?

Lovely. To build on your stones in the bottom you could have a pot inside that sits on the stones so you could occasionally remove it to change/check it. Or how about a rockery plant that likes dryer conditions one that does not get too big. Such house leek, Saxifrage,Viola, Erodium or Rockery pink Dianthus

Thanks for the pot idea, I was thinking a sedum plant but I love rockery plants so yes may try that next year. Thank you.
