Clematis 'Blue Angel'

Spritz, I have taken pics today of 'Blue Angel' at various times of the day ... cannot capture the true mauve colour though ... mine is much darker than your pic ... or is yours more mauve than lilac? . . . . .

The colour in the photo is pretty true, Shirley. Honest!

Thanks for commenting, Spritz ... there is no doubt that my Clematis is definitely NOT 'Blue Angel' ... Karensuan suggested it may be Xerxes but following an e-mail to the GC (in Cornwall) it probably is not that either! ... They say it is the fault of the grower ... not themselves ... I did smile when the GC said if I should happen to be their way on holiday next year they would possibly exchange it! ... Oh well, I like the colour but would like to name it! ... :o(

I'm sure you would. How annoying! My 'Blue Angel' is a super clem - it has lots of flowers and keeps on flowering for weeks. I hope your mystery one does that too, at least!
