Thanks girls , not really Annella I take the cuttings and hope for the best if some of them 'take ' then it's been worth it ..

Actually I think you could be right Shirley I do have a Multi blue and looking at my picture of it it does look the same , I usually take cuttings from my own Clematis .. well done .. I will rename it .. :o))

I wonder why that is Dawn , when you planted it did you put it a good 6" higher than the pot into the ground ?

No Amy, I actually moved it from one part of the garden to another where it can grow up my obelisk. It looked OK and then one half of it seem to face and the leaves look pale. I've fed it and cover the base with stones. Maybe I set it too deep then?

I wonder if moving it caused it to succumb to Clematis wilt , they do like to be planted in deep Dawn as deep as the pot and then that again so that the soil is well up the stalk if you know what I mean ... it might still recover with luck .......
