Calm before the storm!

Love this...dark and brooding !

That looks a bit threatening but beautiful too.

I'd just love to be out in it.

~we came home recently across the common and could see the sky almost black towards the coast,darker than this~ but the sun was shining where we were a few miles away!
We have lightning strikes quite often not always with thunder~ knocked out the modem one year and we got a surge protector on the line to the computer and it knocked that out the following year.
Years ago we had a strike locally which was almost blinding~you could imagine what a nuclear strike would be like~So much white light! It blew a hole in the roof of a house not too far away, fused all the pipes for the central heating and threw the tv set across the room and burnt the carpet. . Fortunately they were out at the time as I don't think they would have survived.

I love storms, even though my house has been hit by lightning twice in the past several years, most recently 2 weeks ago...my computer screen now has a giant black ringed circle on the lower left that looks like a solar eclipse. It seems to be slowly enlarging.
More bad weather is expected tonight - thunderstorms and some rain.
