this is called a cannon ball tree, its also the tree that the Buddha was born under, making it sacred and very hard to find!!!

Yeah they are a REALLY PRETTY tree and flower, but they are so hard to find and grow!! in the U.S. there are only 5 known to be growing so you can imagine how hard it is to find their seeds haha but very interesting flower!!!

You're correct...this is not a easy tree to find. The only one I've ever seen is in Foster's Botanical Garden in Honolulu, Hawaii. There's one at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables, Florida also. Where are the others located in the U.S.?
Do you know if anyone has ever tried one in Southern California?
