Palm Grass growing in the Botanical Building, Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. This plant can grow to more than 6 feet/ 2 meters tall. and blooms yellow orchid-type flowers. Photo taken Feb 23, 2010.

Glad you like it! : > ) It has the same cultural requirement as Carludovica palmata. However, it's flowers are very different...they are in cluster at the base of the plant. I know I've posted some photos of this plant in bloom a while back.
I hope you can obtain this plant! If you know someone who has this plant, maybe you can get a pup. I received my plant as a pup from a friend.
