Lovely colour.

19 Oct, 2009

Oh yes, beautiful. I love the smell of them.

19 Oct, 2009

Thats a beauty!

19 Oct, 2009

Thankyou....I always love to see these tiny flowers open........

19 Oct, 2009

I love these but they don't survive in my garden. Not sure why as my soil is fairly acidic.

19 Oct, 2009

Sorry to hear that Toto.......Maybe it may do better for you in a pot, as apposed to the ground.....

19 Oct, 2009

Great at this time of year arent they .. do you get hard frosts Toto ? That tends to damage new growth from which they flower in successive years.

19 Oct, 2009

Only from his harsh words Bonkers...he he he very frosty.........

19 Oct, 2009

Ha ha ha Maureen.
Mine do quite well Ray surprisingly with the frosts we get.

19 Oct, 2009

Oh Milky ..lol thats good to hear Dawn when lived in York always had trouble with them as new growth appears after flowering and frost seemed to burn it off.

19 Oct, 2009

it must be a stroke on luck for me then Ray :-)

19 Oct, 2009

Well mine is in a north facing position, and seems to be ok.......Maybe its to do with drainage?

19 Oct, 2009

Aye possibly Milky .. Toto emptying his yearly bath water on them? do for most plants that.

19 Oct, 2009

eeew yuk........I agree Bonkers......not good ......

20 Oct, 2009

Dead right to show your disgust Milky. Who in their right mind has a bath every year?

20 Oct, 2009

Has ha ha .....Obviously not you Toto.....No wonder you cant grow Skimmia's...........Lol

20 Oct, 2009

I'm just trying to compost so that I have at least one use before I die.

20 Oct, 2009

H a ha ha ha .....bless.........you are so full of ****

20 Oct, 2009

That's good for thr roses too.

21 Oct, 2009

So your a total recycle job then eh! he he he .........

21 Oct, 2009

That's correct Milky. When I die I don't want to be burnt, I want to be ground up and dried and used as blood and bone meal.
By the way, what do you mean by "frosty comments"?

21 Oct, 2009

Bonkers asked about frosts......not me............I merely elaborated he he he he

21 Oct, 2009

Most of our frost comes from Hornchurch Bonkers so by the time it hits us the worst of the sting has gone. It's not just the flowers that don't do well, it's the whole plant which dies. Maybe it's a spell cast by an evil witch?

21 Oct, 2009

Toto I shall have words with Morgana and stop her casting them ha ha ha ha ha ...............

21 Oct, 2009

Did you hear that Morgana? Milky thinks you are a ........
I don't think I'll say anymore as I would hate to stir it.

21 Oct, 2009

Ha....and you with the biggest wooden spoon in the world.....Lol

22 Oct, 2009

I can't believe you said that!

22 Oct, 2009

Shall I repeat it for you Toto.......ha ha ha ha.......

22 Oct, 2009

I think you are just trying to get your own back on a poor, defensless young man. You should be ashamed of youself.

22 Oct, 2009

What after all the stick youve given me........huh......you just dont like it when your beaten Toto......and Bonkers seems to have disappeared and not come to your rescue, so your feeling got at.....ha ha ha ........ahhhhhhh

22 Oct, 2009

No change there then. Have been the underdog all my life so am used to it. Just when you think you've found an ally you discover he's defected to the other side.
I off now to hide on Exmoor for a week. Please don't tell my nurse as he will be sending out the press gang.

23 Oct, 2009

You lucky old devil.....enjoy...............

23 Oct, 2009

It's now 15:55hrs. and I'm off.
