Springtime in northern Oz - Violas and Hypoestes

Lovely colour

Hypoestes outside, what a treat - only ever had that as a houseplant.

Bamboo - I have hypoestes growing everywhere in the ground in the greenhouse (a greenhouse over here is used differently to the way they're used over there) and in a few pots out in the courtyard.

I've also seen them in huge mass plantings around one of the waterfalls up on the Atherton Tablelands - an area further up north. They covered an area of almost ten square metres and looked spectacular!
