That is looking really good ! I think mine isn't too well,not flowering yet and is a lot smaller than last year :(

I wonder Aster... do you think these plants like poor soil?...These are in an old pot and have been totally neglected...i picked lots of weed out of it this morning.....:>)

I thought it may be because I had neglected it that it's poorly lol.It is on the edge of my raised border and may have dried out at some point :(

I know they need to be kept moist but not too wet....On thing i always do is sprinkle plenty of grit around the plants, especially the 'crown'.......perhaps that would help yours Aster...:>)

Yes there isn't any grit that's for sure.I'll check the label as to which type it is and see where it likes to be. Strange tho it has been in same position for two years and no probs .

Perhaps you are right then, and it has dried out....:<(

Thanks Motinot,it seems position is ok as it gets sun and part shade. I will add grit as maybe over winter it got too wet,then keep an eye on it next summer in case it gets too dry lol !
