In real life he's very, very colourful Bernieh.
Yes, I'm so pleased to have a photo, at long last.
The photo came out really dark so I've had to enhance it so that he can be seen.
His chest is a bright rusty colour and his back the blueist blue you can imagine :-)

Looked up your kingfisher on the great google machine - if it's the Alcedo atthis, then he sure does have the most magnificent cobalt blue back!

Yep, you see a blue flash and they are gone. We know his call now though, so sometimes we know he's around before we see him.
