Two-marked Treehopper

This colorful and odd-shaped guy is a Two-marked Treehopper. They are quite good hoppers for sure. Their shape is meant to resemble a thorn on a tree. Treehoppers take sap from vegatation, particurlarly trees and shrubs. They press their eggs inito slits in twigs, often killing the tip of the twig. This treehopper was on a Black Walnut leaf, June 26 in the garden.

being on a black walnut leaf, does he not have trouble with juglone?
or is that only present in the roots of the black walnut?

I believe that juglone is in all parts of the black walnut tree. I can't say for sure that this was his host tree......he may have just hopped there to rest.
