The house next door

A zoom shot to the house being built in the next field. They have sited it carefully so as not to obstruct our views to the beach (south) and to the ocean (east).

The nearest wall is about 150 feet (50 m) from our hedge, so a good distance. We have been spoiled, having had this hill all to ourselves for 5 years. But they are delightful neighbours, and we will share some of our expanding plants with them once they get established and can plan some landscaping. They have lived on Baffin Island in the Arctic for several years, so will be glad to get back amongst some greenery and trees.

Patrick has just said it's more like 300' from us. I'm not a good judge of distances. Anyway, far enough to be private, close enough to be sociable. We have a nice path tramped through the hedge.
