Yes - rain here all day. That was my fault, as well, because I got the hose out yesterday! The plants all said 'thank you' when the rain came...;-)

We have had a pathetic bit of rain. I have held off using the hose on my pots and borders as we were told we would get lots of rain. I have my fingers crossed for more.
My 3 waterbutts are empty too.

Like you I try to pack as much into my garden as I can. There's less room for weeds that way :o)
We had heavy rain yesterday but the soil was so dusty and dry that watering it with a can or hose would have been no good. I hope it doesn't last too long though

Thanks for your your comments but alas, I have battened down the hatches tied up the clematis, for the north easterlies heading towards kent tomorrow, and my flowering cherry has had so much blossom, its now all going I guess. Oh well, yes it was dry and dusty and it creates a crusty top if you water doesnt it. lol x x
