dahlias

Queer that you've got an awful day there Patricia, it's quite a bright day here.
I too have bought some dahlias ..... there's a lot of us at it !!!

Not a bad day here either Louise, off out to do a bit of clearing and shreading in a bit.
I've been looking at dahlias too but decided to buy seed instead bought 'Bishops Children' nice bright colours, got the propogater at the ready just waiting for seeds to arrive now :-)

Oh you lucky pair, we are going to cornwall in March so shall give you a wave Louise. do you start your dahlias off in soil first?

Its not a very nice day here either as it dull misty and damp.

I've become quite hooked on dahlias, too, Patricia. looking forward to getting some new ones this year. incidentally, I always plant the tubers in pots first, with just plain multi-purpose compost. They always transplant readily, once all danger of frost is gone. :-))

Morning I bought Tahiti sunrise Bluebell Kelvin Floodlight Park Princess and a Blackberry looking one mmmm... as you will see I like loads and loads of colour, and I plant everything all over the place, a right mess really but I like it like that. I also grow them in pots as I dont have a really big garden. happy gardening, I am going to vet a home now, for a couple wanting a pup. bye for now

I grew park princess last year and i was delighted with it [think i have photos somewhere look on my plant profile and it'll be there ]. dont know the others so will wait and see what yours do.

I think we should have a section on Dahlias now, so many of us have them and it's always good to see and learn :-)
