cheering myself up

Looking at the garden at the moment it looks awful, nothing in it at all except a couple of daffs and a couple of crocuses, my garden needs a few big changes, but looking at some pictures from last year, gave me the boot I need to get out and start planning. hope you like.

I feel as you do every year. But, it does all come back to life again - well, most of it, barring the winter casualties- and then you can't believe it ever looked so bare.
My plan for this year is to get in some more evergreen shrubs and plants to give me something to look at over the winter.

I felt like that a couple of weeks ago, I went out armed with my pruners and did a few jobs that didn`t get done before xmas and started some seeds in my greenhouse, that sorted out my mood, since then I`ve tidied my borders and today I`ve cut my grass, some of my seedlings are up so all feels good at the moment..
I am also on a mission this year to add more colour to my shady bed at the bottom of my garden...
Lovely pics Patricia, something to look forward to..

I know how you feel Patricia, I`ve been looking through some of my garden pics from last year to reassure myself that my garden isn`t going to look as it does now which is pretty dead.lol.

I have been asked to open my garden for charity this year, which panics me, as I only have a wee tiny garden. and to be honest, there are things that need to come out big time, the pergola needs a new rose, the blue thing which I cant think of at the moment needs to come out, major job, but will have to wait until next year now. I guess it will all come to fruition, lets hope so, I am going to make a queenie scarecrow for the jubilee, ha ha.
