Ok so here goes:

Karen and Myself a long time ago: I haven’t changed lol – not much apart from putting on a stone or two and of course going a little greyer and more wrinklier:

!

This picture is taken at my 3rd daughters wedding (Sarah Jane) 14.8.2009 Karen Sue’s sister, from the left Karen Sue’s youngest sister (Samantha still lives at home) Kevin my son-in-law, Sarah Jane and Gareth Samantha’s boyfriend

Next a family group with all the children, Mark (Karen sue’s brother) is the tall handsome one next to Karen Sue.

!

From the left Sammie,Kevin the groom, Sarah, Mark and Karen. I hope you like. Hope Karen doesn’t mind me publishing these. We had a great day out on the first one all those years ago and we are still having great days out many years later. Wish they all lived nearer and we could have even more great days out. Karen in Carnoustie, Mark in Grantham now, Sarah in Doncaster and Sammie is still at home, for the time being, until she is qualified next year. Love them all to bits they are a great bunch of kids hope you agree.

You have a beautiful family, I can tell your very proud of them all, we women don't often get a pat on the back, but I shall give you one Olive, well done!

ahhhh - thanks Dido they are lovely and the family just gets bigger - sons in law and a daughter in law and a boyfriend and of course 4 great grandchildren, two boys and two girls, what could a mum wish more for. Not me I count my blessings daily. I love them all.

Do you manage to get together at Christmas time all of you? Must be lovely if you do, I too put family first and thank my lucky stars that they are all ok. I had my first grandaughter last Christmas time she is a treasure, In fact I'm re organising the garden as we speak to accommodate a swing for her ready for next spring, think I may do a before and after blog..mmm

Lovely photos Olive, thank you. Quick aswell, from the mention last night :-)))

Thanks everyone, glad you like the pictures, dido we don't get together at christmas, we all do our own thing, bit far to travel for christmas dinner etc. and our house is tiny so no lodging rooms. We all tend to speak by phone on Christmas day.

Terratoonie they are good times - graduation day for Karen Sue the first one -from The Royal Academy of Music. It does sound so posh doesn't it. Don't think the RAM was ever the same after our presence.

Annella she hasn't commented yet! She might not be speaking to me lol. No probably just busy in the garden. lol.

Lovely to see the faces behind the names!!!

10 Sep, 2010

thanks lulu33 but I don't look like this any more, karen sue is a few years older also. lol. oh to be twenty one again and not just in the head. lol.

10 Sep, 2010

Yep you and me both Olive, 21 again and know what I know now. lol

10 Sep, 2010

ooh I know the feeling. I spent a few hours yesterday cutting back my lavenders and ended up with a very aching back! I did use knee pads though, I think they are such an important piece gardening equipment, no bruised or soggy knees!!

10 Sep, 2010

I am still 21 in the head, pity I don't look it Dido!

Lulu - I have a kneeling stool/seat only trouble is you have to keep getting up and moving it to reach somewhere else. lol. lazy or what? It folds away and hangs in the shed, best 10 quid I spent that was. It is back aching cutting and pruning.

But I am still only 21 I am I am - not giving into old age I am not NO NO NO! Only protesting because it will soon be my birthday, if anyone reminds me of how old I am I might just put some more pictures on here which they would not like me to show. Promise I will!! lol :>)

Lovely to meet your family, Olive. I am not feeling 21 again....feel a bit left out here...lol

I enjoy looking back at photos of past celebrations too...such happy memories.

I get the feeling Karen will behave...Lol

Thanks Whistonlass, it will be the damp dark dreary day we are getting that makes you feel older than 21 bet you perk up when the sun shines.

Annella, Karen is very inconspicuous by her absence isn't she!

Alright, not too bad, not too much damage done there Mum!! You said you had 4 great grandchildren....steady! Everyone, Mum is not that old! She actually has 4 wonderful grandchildren!! Blimey, I was almost a grandmother there for a moment!! Mum you should have put one with Rachel and Anthony and Lauren up there too!

I remember the dress I wore for my graduation. I got it in Wallis. I loved that dress! After the ceremony we went back to the house in N.Wembley and then after I got Mum safely on the train back to N.Lincs, we all went out to the Cafe Royale for our graduation do! All in our Laura Ashely gowns and all that!! What a day. I remember us all sitting on the floor at the ball because we were all so totally done in!

10 Sep, 2010

btw, it's good to see that my current hair dye is actually quite similar to my real colour...I'd forgotten what it was like!! lol!

10 Sep, 2010

Karen, No damage at all, I think that the dress would be one that Sam would like now, very strange how dress sense has been passed on to her. Wonder where you got it from the pair of you (not me for sure) I'm the tom-boy style kinda person (was going to say girl) but think I am a bit past being a girl. lol.
Great as in wonderful dear - I am only 21 I cannot be a great grandma yet! but eh you never know. I wouldn't complain, think you or Mark might though.
I have a picture of you in THE Laura Ashley dress on the front lawn, Sam saw it the other day. Blues and pinks I think - pastel colours, very pretty. Am I right or is my mind going altogether.
I have decided not to colour my hair any more, I can never seem to get the right shade, decided to go grey gradually and let it be and do its own thing.
Great memories - brilliant day - wonder where everyone is these days.

10 Sep, 2010

Thank you Barbara :-)))))

10 Sep, 2010

Is Laura Ashley still going!! I have traded L. Ashley in for knee pads and I am not quite at the half century yet..........hmmm but pretty dresses make a nice change from jeans wellies and knee pads!!

10 Sep, 2010

Lulu I love Laura Ashley for furniture and fabrics nowadays....I'm more into my knee pads and gardening shoes (not wellies, only cos they don't work on my slope..lol) My shopping is more garden centre than fashion:-))
Ps. I reached my half century this June, but feel ok...

10 Sep, 2010

I bought myself bright gold wellies last year, people either love em or hate em!!

11 Sep, 2010

Sorry girls have been searching for the photograph this morning and cannot find it anywhere, it will turn up when it does I will post it on here. One thing I have realised is that I need to sort out my photos, they are in a mess, all sorts everywhere, also need to tidy up the house, what a pickle it is in. Too much gardening not enough housework done. lol
