demonstrations of art

i was asked like last year to do a demonstration of art.last year i drew my ex mother inlaws dog and a gorilla and people came in asked a few questions all good.

i gave for the raffle for the charity last year to one of my tiger prints for the guildhall and this year to.more prises means perhaps more interest i guess.this year i thaught though its possibly going to sound big headed but its not the case that it would be better to perhaps show people something that they mite be able to go home and do themselves.i did some drawing for one session of amies elephant that im very pleased with.for another i did another slant on my modern fossils.i put one leaf vains up then put the cement on.then i layed a bent bit of wire in the cement.then i found a leaf of a similer size and layed that on top veins down.it means i could hang the leaves up maybe as a mobile.i just hung them in my tree.there was a lot of interest in this and im now going to hopefully cheer some people at an old peoples home and the boy scouts up bye demonstrating some of these.i also left one as a raffle prize to hopefully help there charity to keep the art centre open.i also enterd a couple of pieces of art into the compertition though i didnt win anything but not to worry.i think my self portait was a bit scary though it shouldnt of bean as i was just very down and upset in it.it actualy had one woman welling up as she said she could see my sadness and feal it lol.i put the picture of my lovley ex misses bless her as a crying tot.

i went in one day at the wrong time so i decided as i had a big pease of glass in the back of my van i would do something for people to watch anyway.i did another sugar skull and lizards,my hand and what ver sprang to mind realy.im going to go as a reguler spot on a saturday morning to do art.once people realise they just mite want to come and watch my ugly bald old arse doing some art and hopefully buy the odd coffee lol.

when i did actualy get the time right lol i got a small piece of glass and felt tipped a butterfly on a rose and had a nice big interested audiance and you know what i realy enjoyed it.ive put this in the next raffle down there just got to wate for the concrete frame to dry with the fish tank gravel on it .i got another demo and a commission and a tropical fish and garden centre very interested in my outside pictures.i must of bean doing something right because as i said at the time i kept a dozen woman apserlutley quiet at the same time lol.you know what i realy realy enjoyed it.it realy does show you its not always about the money

ive just got to do a cement frame round the sugar skull.my mum of 77 swears she doesnt like my newest little edition sid the pug i cant help thinking her lttle grin belys the truthe lol.take care everybody and i hope your all ok bye for now

Oh wow lovely pictures - how clever you are. You've given me a great idea for the concrete leaves as something I could do with the kids on our estate - what sort of concrete did you use - just ready mixed?? It would be great with the big oak/sycamore leaves that come down in Autumn. How long does it take to dry?
