The layer of snow gives some of the statues different looks and expressions! I wonder if we'll get more snow and your artwork will disappear completely under the white stuff. :o)

Hi Leigh,
We have a covering of snow here in Bristol and that's unusual as it's usually very mild. There is heavier snow forecast for this afternoon as well for the South West. Thanks for sharing your photos. Keep warm, and all best wishes.

wouldnt make sense very often but i know what ya mean.its a bit like owning a soft top car in this country ?

2 Feb, 2009

i used to have an mg midget with a soft top that leaked like a sieve when it rained...lol

2 Feb, 2009

its when it rained is the problem.i bet you were wet more often than dry in it lol .if ya going to get soaked you mite as well get a proper rush and invest in a motorbike

2 Feb, 2009

i did have a little moped once. a little russian jobby. peddle start and dinamo lights. not much of a rush lol

I really like that holey Wall , it,s brilliant ....and the other sculpters as well !

My grandchildren are very upset because the children in Norwich are having time off school because of the snow , they don,t get the snow near the coast so they still have to go , they say it,s not fair , I sent them photos to show them what it,s like here LOL ...

i bet that cheared them up lol.we didnt get days of for anything when i was at school let alone teachers training days.i hated school all of it realy.forced to be with a load of people who you mite not like doing lots of things i didnt want to do lol.i thaught teachers had learned to become teachers at collage call me old fashioned.the head head chef dont leave a resteraunt once a month to learn to be a chef he moves with the times like we all have to.i would of loved any opertunity to get days of.it was however slightly better than hiding outside all day hoping you can get a note and you dont get sean.i begged me mum every day and once in a while she relented.no wonder the kids have any commen sense if whos teaching them arnt propper teachers anymore

that concrete fence cost me to make i swear about £50 and im being nice.i got given the thicker wire for the circles and a load of old chicken wire to go round that as like a filler/strengthener.i just baught sand and cement and the black dye.it looks better in summer with my ornimental grape vine growing through the holes

You were lucky that you had a mother that cared enough to send you to school Leigh , I had the original wicked step mother who use to keep me away so that she could keep the dinner money ... LOL... no it wasn,t funny I don,t know why i,m laughing ........

You made a good job of that fence I bet it does like great with the vine growing through it ..

2 Feb, 2009

it does lol.it probably made you a stronger persen having a wicked step mother.my mother was almost to protective and still is.youl have to come and see it if ya want u can weight till i have my open garden for the local hospice for the second time.

not much but we enjoyed building a snowlady. just posted pics...

3 Feb, 2009

Enjoyed all the pics, thanks for posting them. Interesting how different things look by adding one more element.
Perhaps it would be fun to cover things with something like chocolate pudding or jelly once the snows gone and see what that looks like.

3 Feb, 2009

bless ya amy i got to shes the only mum i got.as for you gillian what you do in your own time is intirely up to you lol but your right about the one element.come to think of it though you should see the differance right at the end of a picture when i put the tiny highlights and little touches.it comes alive.quite takes my breath away.im almost embarrased to stand back and look.not helping my sleep having that picture on my mind lol.you ever tried covering a 12¬ concrete soldier in jelly.no i take that back i dont want to here the answer lol

3 Feb, 2009

Yes, I'm not going there either!
You're right about the finishing touches. I often think what I'm working on looks garbage, but you keep on to the end and somehow everything just seems to work once those final details are added.

3 Feb, 2009

gets worse before it gets better sometimes to

3 Feb, 2009

Very thick snow still here, My two grand-daughters are at work, but the two grandsons schools are closed, they say probably all week, they are Furious (HA HA ) LOL., as they love school, (I don't think), the youngest one plays the drums and the eldest one has a very noisy moped, so the neighbours are really pleased they are stuck at home.

3 Feb, 2009

i bet you all are doc lol never got days of for snow when i was at school

3 Feb, 2009
