I'm heading for 60, and am just starting out trying to grow my own vegetables. I have a small greenhouse (8x10) and a slightly bigger vegetable patch. I'm interested in growing the more unusual type of veg that it's not so easy to find in little village shops. I live 13 miles from the nearest small town! I also have a fairly large lawn and flower garden, but cannot use any more of it for veg as the free range chicken would object.
