Had a few surprises with plant purchases lately bought an Etoile de Hollande supposedly a deep crimson red but it has flowered pink/corally red and I bought four clematis to go down the left hand side of the garden all different colours was really delighted when one flowered purple as it should but the one next door but one has also started flowering purple:( Will most probably take my friend Louisettes advice and only buy plants when they are in flower so I actually see what colour they are. Thats my rant over:)

If the weather cheers up I am going to plant some Cosmos seeds in the front garden packet says all different colours so safe with that lol!

Have a lovely weekend GOYers.

I do have the Etoile de Hollande. The flowers are very big and have a strong perfume. It only flowers once (may be one or two flowers later) and can grow taller than a big tree. Now it is totally neglected growing through the branches of a big tree covered with ivy. Wise idea to buy plants in flower something which I don't do either.

Lol you are mean Grannyb yes the Etoile de Hollande was but the clematis were from my local nursery Cherry Tree it will be just my luck that the clematis in between the two purple will be PURPLE too! I will just have to pretend that I envisaged a complete blanket of purple down the left hand side of the garden:)
