*Autumn begineth methinks!*

Ah! Such is life! I suspect that the summer has come to a close and autumn has opened its doors. It’s still warm down here today on the Romney Marshes but the wind has picked up considerably. We haven’t had any serious wind since I planted my limited crops, so it will be interesting to see how they behave! The wind seems to be the only real problem in my garden – it gets channelled down the side-alley that faces almost south-west (prevailing wind direction!!!).

We have that problem too merfyn...the side path of the house creates a vortex that knocks everything for 6! Further up the garden it's like a mill-pond...calm & static.
I get up just before 5am...it's now cold & dark then if it's a cloudy day...the car is all misted up & covered in fallen leaves too! Brrrr.

I noticed several trees lately looking like they usually do in mid/late October - brown leaves and almost bare branches. I hope we don't get another bad winter ahead.
