Lake in the mist this morning.

A very different scene this morning..so eerie.Only a handfull of brave birds. The swans looked very regal.

I’ve included a cheery, warm photo …Daffs and Tulips bought today. The vase is quite old made by a local Welsh Potter.I think the technique is called’ Slip’.

On the clearer side of the lake ,the Catkins were enjoying the sun….a pinkish, bronze colour.

Throughout the last few years we have been walking there, weather conditions change each time.I’ve been able to gather a lot of material for future paintings.

Gosh I bet that was cold, I agree it does look eerie, we are having heavy overnight frosts and beautiful sunny days, I've been in the garden every day this week, a real boost to my days, its weird I can work in the garden for hours at a time but cannot walk very far these days without my knees and legs hurting, I always loved a long walk especially in the countryside, no fun this getting old lark.....

The first photo could almost be from a horror movie! So creepy in the mist. I do like the vase your lovely Spring flowers are in.

Not the sort of scenery we get around these parts! We had a little freezing fog this morning - but it only lasted about an hour before the sun came out & it all evaporated! 😃

Nice bunch of flowers in the vase! They are so cheery when days are dull & cold. 😃

Lincs I empathize with you...it's the reverse here...my stamina for gardening has certainly reduced this year.I look at the size of our patch and it overwhelms me somewhat.

Thank you Eileen, Shirley and Balcony.
I can imagine howling wolves showing up in the first photo Shirley.

I actually like your photos Julia. Very mystical. And your vase with flowers is lovely.

Great photos! Its grand to see the catkins getting ready to do their stuff. The pottery making method is called slip casting. Instead of using a potters wheel the clay is very liquid and poured into a mould. (I used to work at a ceramics research association in the information department...)

l love the first photo it is quite etherial, not spooky. The trees look nice without their leaves. Nice bright flowers to cheer us up & a lovely vase. Ty Stera for the info re Slip ware. I didn’t know it was poured into a mould.

Those are pretty pink catkins, I've not seen them before, only the cream.ones we have here. Don't they warm your heart though, what a long winter it does seem.to have been.
Lovely vase of spring flowers too, so cheerful.
