Mini blog. Sunday activities!

Today was assigned to dividing the bearded Iris and replanting the young tubers around the garden…trimmed the leaves to 6 inches and the roots much shorter before replanting. Apparently this is the time to do it.Whilst I was in the trimming mood the remaining Lavenders were next. This year the Hidcotes were very shy with their fragrance.

We are still ongoing with a new area at the bottom of the drive where a large tree was removed..planted 35 years ago…the space will be just right to take the 2 green bins. Will show photos when it’s completed.
The drive is fairly steep, dragging the almost overfilled bins down it every 2 weeks was becoming too much for us.

Yet again, the water lily has outstretched its ’tentacles ’ so another dip is on the cards! Area around the pool was due to be trimmed and tidied.

On to the side garden door….handle has snapped….After fitting the new one we stopped for a welcome cup of tea.,but not for long!

We have peculiar weather here today…sudden downpours intermixed with sunshine.
So that is our Sunday.always seem to be able to fill it up with jobs..Will look forward to seeing Baptiste on BBC 1 tonight.
Happy gardening!
Love Julia x
